WEIGHTED PUSH CART

Client: Rochester Hearing & Speech Center

A playful weighted push cart for 2-3 year olds developing their core strength and motor skills.

Group members: Brooke Banninger, Spencer Harris, Andrew Nasser

IDEATION

How might we create a stable weighted push cart for toddlers working on walking at Rochester Hearing and Speech in order to keep the kids engaged while doing physical therapy?

The cart features a hidden weight compartment in order to keep the toddlers from messing with them and getting distracted/injured, while still providing staff members with easy access to adjust the amount of weight.

USER TESTING

We conducted several trials of user testing with both toddlers and staff to ensure their needs were being met. The staff appreciated the fun theme and versatility of the cart, and toddlers loved pushing it and were eager to get their exercise!
